Abstract:

Pheidole longipes (Fr. SMITII) and two new species, Pheidole multicoma and P. montana, both of which are closely related to P. longipes, are described based on specimens

from Kinabalu Park (Sabah, Borneo). P. multicoma and P. longipes occurred sympatrically in Poring (ca. 600 m alt ), while P. montana was collected at higher elevetions and parapatric with these two species in vertical distribution.
